Understanding the application
We define the target species, product composition and desired sensory profile.
BEHIND THE SENSORY PROFILE
Successful flavor development goes beyond the aroma profile. The ingredient, carrier, application and process are considered together.

MICROENCAPSULATION
Microencapsulation is a formulation approach designed to protect selected ingredients within a suitable carrier or coating system.
In suitable projects, it may be considered to protect volatile or sensitive ingredients and manage stability and release behavior. The method depends on the ingredient, product format and application conditions.
Different flavors may require different technologies. Product-specific suitability assessment and validation are part of the development process.
OUR COLLABORATIVE DEVELOPMENT PROCESS
We define the target species, product composition and desired sensory profile.
We assess sweet, citrus, meat or marine notes to suit the application.
We consider product format, carrier compatibility and application conditions.
We define the next steps using technical information and an assessment of the application.
TECHNICAL QUESTIONS
Microencapsulation is not automatically applied to every product. The technology is selected according to the flavor and the application’s technical requirements.
There is no single universal inclusion rate. Product specifications, the desired flavor intensity, the feed or pet food matrix and application conditions are considered together.
We assess factors such as processing temperature and duration, the point of application, moisture and feed composition. Suitable options are determined for each product.
